AD Digital Authority
Data Ecosystem

I created an illustrative ecosystem map for Abu Dhabi Digital Authority, giving form to a complex government data strategy so it could be understood, explained, and shared.

ADDA’s vision was to help Abu Dhabi government entities move towards a new era of data-value realization. The challenge was to explain a highly complex ecosystem; data marketplaces, open data services, geo-spatial tools, insight platforms, public sector entities, and their interdependencies as one connected system.

The design response was to build a visual universe around it. What started as an internal tool to understand the strategy became a communication tool for the client: an isometric ecosystem map that made relationships, services, and dependencies easier to see. Through illustration, structure, and motion, abstract data infrastructure became something more tangible and easy to explain.

The power of design is making complexity feel simple.

For ADDA, the ecosystem map turned a dense government data strategy into a clear shared picture. What first felt like a complex network of services and dependencies became a visual tool people could understand, discuss, and use.
